A self-portrait in eleven musical moments, an essential and permanent question that runs through them all : what kind of music can we create today ? How do we reinvent the past and how can we project a mixed musical tradition into the future ? Without words, the music tells the story of its own metamorphoses.
These stylistic variations and universal blends are based on research and experimentation. With the same artistic demands, they bring together the styles of classical, pop, contemporary, film scores and world music.
Futur antérieur was created free from any school of thought or any preconceived ideas. An image, a film, a novel, an algorithm, could have been, for example, the spark for an original inspiration. Shaped by classical works and current technologies, futur antérieur is a living music, personal and poetic, whose immediacy opens the imagination and invites movement.
